CSM is a privately owned and managed technology
company near Stuttgart / Germany, founded in 1983. CSM is a leading,
independent supplier of CAN bus measurement modules and data
loggers for automotive applications as well as for PC Card
Readers and Data Recorders for many industrial applications.
Our products can be classified in 3 departments:
- Automotive Measurement
- Automotive Tools
- PC Cards & Readers
The Automotive Measurement
department includes particularly
compact measurement modules and data loggers for mainly mobile
applications. These are mainly used in development and test
by automotive manufacturers, their suppliers and service
providers worldwide. They are also used in construction
machines, precision farming and aviation. Here we combine
extreme demands (miniaturization, use inside engine
compartment, excellent technical data) with a very good
price-performance-ratio. |
In our department Automotive Tools we focus on tools
and devices for programming and test of ECU's. In this field
CSM is preferred supplier of a well-known manufacturer of
ECU's.
With PC Cards & Readers we focus on industrial
customers and their applications. We deliver devices and
tools for programming of various memory cards, at Desktop-PCs or as component of an Embedded Application.
Customized data storages and data recorders, e.g. for
security relevant recording, complete the range of these products.
About 50 employees work at CSM today. Owner and managing
directors are Dipl.-Ing. Iris Koch and Dr.-Ing. Winfried
Koch.
CSM has State-of-the-art computers and equipment, an own
EMC
test laboratory, manufacturing facility in-house and a
Calibration Laboratory
accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

The first principle of our quality policy is:
Customers receive only high quality products and
services.
The base to reach this goal is our quality management
system, which is checked by the TÜV Management Service GmbH,
Filderstadt, on a regular base. Since July 2002, all parts
of the company are included.
The audit report certifies that we have implemented a well
structured and effective quality management system.
Certification was performed in December 2004 by TÜV
Management Service GmbH according to DIN EN ISO
9001 for all parts of the company, including
development, production and sales.
The consequent way to ISO 14001
The high quality standard and its safeguarding
are a firm component of the company´s philosophy. It covers
the ranges quality, environment and safety. In the
implementation, all employees are involved systematically.

The employees of CSM GmbH from administration to
production and from development to disposal are committed to
environmental issues.
Ideas and concepts for energy reduction in administration,
protection of resources in production and reduction of
packing material have been worked out and established.
As an example, environmental risks are rated and emergency
plans are prepared to minimize hazardous risks.
Energy optimization and protection of resources are
practiced in all departments. Processes are continuously
controlled and optimized
